Is this doll evil?

What does this doll really say?

According to some the doll says “Islam is the light” and “Satan is king”. At Urban Legends David Emery thinks the doll might not be saying anything intelligible at all, as he says “it could be in the ear of the beholder”.

I must admit I can’t pick out the “Satan is king”, though on the youtube video you can sort of make it out, especially after the guy tells you where it is. However the “Islam is the light” is fairly clear (well, at least the “is the light” section).

See for your self, is this doll spouting religious comments?
Check out the youtube video, or listen to this mp3 from Mattel,
then have a read of David Emery’s take on the matter, including links to previous evil talking dolls including the Teletubby dolls saying “Faggot, faggot, bite my butt”?

If you want to read more, type this into google:  “islam is the light” + doll

That is a cute doll and I don’t see anything wrong with it. Let’s hope we all become the light including Islam. Satan is only King if you give him power.

I had a listen and all I could make out was “pareidolia, pareidolia . . .” Weird, huh?

  3. more evil muslim sayings. this time in a new game from Sony.

“The highly-anticipated video game Little Big Planet has been delayed due to fears one song in the game may cause religious offence. ”

get a life people, stop worrying about offending the religious

religious people – get a sense of humour, and don’t buy it if you don’t like it.

  4. AV,

Nail on the head. Funny though I thought it said hand over your cash you American Imperialist dogs and submit to the might of China.

Don’t know about becoming the light though. Some people think that sun shines out my arse so I guess I am halfway there?

Satan is only king if William and Katie get married and have really poor taste in names.

  5. It’s a bit like the whole backmasking gimmick really, isn’t it?
