WordPress Sticky Posts

Noticed today a link to the WordPress.com site announcing Sticky Posts. This new function allows you to mark a post as a ‘sticky’ which will keep that post stuck at the top of the first page. The post will be highlighted in some way, probably dependant on your theme, mine has the heading/title in a blue background. This new function could be very handy if you have a hot topic you want all your visitors to see, and it’s as easy as ticking/unticking a box in the edit window.

For testing purposes I have stuck my Blasphemous T-shirt post to the top of my blog and will leave it there for a few days.

  1. Not sure if I like the sticky idea. Good if you just have one post. I think a popular posts frame on the side is better.
